We followed him from the cafeteria across the fields and then to the airstrip where there was a large private jet lined up on the runway with the stairs still attached.
He had climbed up the stairs to knock on the door.
A pretty blonde stewardess came to the door. She opened it, chatted with Ricky for a bit before closing it. Then she was back, and Ricky went in.
“What did a guy like Ricky have any business seeing anyone on a jet for?” Hunter asked.
“Tempest is probably on that jet,” I said.
“Nice,” Hunter said. “She’s upgraded.”
“Yes, that jet is top of the line,” I said.
“What you are you going to do if Tempest is on that jet, Ori?” Hunter asked.
“I’d go to her,” I said. “She’s still ours. No matter what Kaz said she did, my body and heart still want her.”
Hunter said, “Same here.”
“You know,” I said. “We’ve been through so much together as K3, and I couldn’t ask for better brothers, but if I lose Tempest for good, I’m done with the K3.”
Hunter nodded. “That last bit with the batshit crazy twins…I’m not going through that again. Getting a blowjob or not, I’m not so desperate that I would just let anyone touch me, especially airhead Sabrina. I couldn’t even get it up for her, I was so disgusted.”
I had to laugh at that.
“No, Tempest is the one who does it all for me.”
Hunter sighed. “I know.” He turned to me then and said, “No matter what, Ori, even if Kaz doesn’t agree, we have to make it up to her. We have to get her back.”
“Those dumb stupid fucking mean things I said to her tonight,” I groaned. “I didn’t mean any of it. I just wanted to toughen her. I wanted to get her away, make her hate me, hate us so she would leave.”
Hunter nodded and then said, “Look, there’s Ricky again, and he’s carrying Tempest’s bags.”
We got up from where we were watching and made our way toward the runway.
“Hey guys,” Kaz made his way to us. He looked better, more like himself. “Wait for me.”
We stopped until he caught up.
“I feel better now,” he said. “Just being around Tempest’s room, smelling her scent on her pillows. So…you’ve found her?”
“Yup, maybe,” Hunter said, looking a little apprehensive. “Question is, guys, I don’t know if she would want to see us.”
We looked over to where Hunter was staring. Tempest had stepped outside of the jet. She was wearing tight jeans that hugged her shapely legs and round butt. My dick twitched and hardened from the sight of her. On top, she had on a loose chiffon pink shirt.
“She looks like a baby doll…a sexy one, guys,” Hunter said. “Our beautiful baby doll. How the hell could we have done what we did to her?”
“What the hell?” Kaz’s voice shattered the air. “That’s Jordan. I should have recognized his private jet.”
Hunter and I looked over at Tempest as we stopped walking, frozen in shock. Jordan and Tempest were standing on top of the stairs, and he was devouring her face, kissing her so passionately, we could practically see the steam swirling between them.
“No, no, no!” Kaz shook his head. “Not Jordan of all people.”
“Your brother?” I asked.
“Of course my brother…the one who would do anything to become King.”
“The way they’re kissing,” Hunter said. “They’ve been intimate.”
“I told you about Tempest’s betrayal,” Kaz said. “I heard a rumor of Tempest being with Jordan since he shot me a text once about how he knew Tempest, and that they’ve been working together for a while.”
“Seeing is believing,” Hunter said.
“Why Tempest?” Kaz asked.
“So it is true,” I had to agree.
“I wanted to believe I was wrong about her betrayal, but now…” Kaz’s face clenched. “God that hurts. My chest feels like it had been squashed.”
Tempest and Jordan pulled back from each other, and there was a look of wonder, even love between them that made my heart sink. Tempest and Jordan were lovers. Maybe even before she stepped foot into Kingsbury. She may have been Jordan’s plant to bring down Kaz, Kingsbury, and even Kaz’s kingdom all along.
The doors shut on the private jet, and the stairs where Tempest stood, was wheeled away towards the hangar. Ricky walked alongside the stairs, carrying Tempest’s bags. He looked jealous and sad as well. To us guys in the K3, we knew Ricky had it bad for Tempest. When the stairs stopped rolling to let Tempest walk down, Ricky reached his hand up to hold Tempest’s hand. His eyes were like puppy dog eyes as he watched her walk down the stairs towards him.
“At least she trusts him,” Hunter said.
“Hello Princes,” Tempest’s voice swept to us.
At the sound of her voice, my heart gave a jump. “Tempest,” I said, almost longingly. “You were leaving?”
She looked directly at me with her beautiful purple eyes. Her gaze dropped to my cheeks where she had slapped me earlier today. It had developed into a bruise.
“I’d put some ice on that,” she said. “How’s your hand?”
I lifted the hand she had bitten to get away from me forcefully making her watch Kaz and Hunter get sucked and making Tempest stay.
“The bleeding stopped,” I said. “It stings, but I deserved it.”
“Yes, you do,” Tempest said, standing more erect and pushing her chest forward. Her full breasts which I remember worshipping with my tongue, nearly touched mine.
I almost groaned. “I missed you, Tempest.”
“Ori,” she said. “I would miss you if I cared. Right now, I don’t.” She walked past Hunter and Kaz without even glancing at them.
Ricky followed behind her, but she waited for him to catch up to her until they were side by side. She reached out her hand and entwined hers in his, and they walked away swinging their hands like kids.
“Is everything she does…adorable?” Hunter asked.
“She couldn’t help being adorable,” I said.
“She’s sleeping with Jordan,” Kaz said. “He’s my worst enemy.”
“But you still want her,” I said.
“Of course I want her,” Kaz said. “Don’t we all?”
“Can’t we just return back to the blissful days when we would wake up making love to Tempest? Can’t we forget about your revenge and your dispute with your brother?” Hunter asked. “I just want Tempest back in my life. I want her love back.”
Kaz rubbed his face. “It if was only that easy. What was done was done.”
“Yes,” Hunter said. “You dug your own grave with getting engaged to the Wicked Witch of the World Veronica.”
“Thanks to our parents. I’m just a pawn in their politics.”
“So what are we going to do about Tempest?” Hunter asked. “If you intend to be cruel to her, I’m out of the K3, Kaz.”
“I’ll spend a lifetime making up for all the hurt I caused her, Kaz,” I said.
Kaz looked me square in the face and said, “I can’t help loving her. I get sick to my stomach when I am cruel to her. I know it was Jordan who probably seduced her into their relationship. She probably didn’t even know how it would affect us. I want to make it right with her somehow, but I don’t know how.”
Hunter said, “She was angry at us. You could see it in her eyes when she walked past us. We’ll have to wait for her to make the first move. If she wanted to be with us again, it’ll be her call.”
Chapter 5
Tempest
Ricky walked with me to my dorm room, still carrying my bags. I would have offered to carry them myself, but Ricky insisted.
“Let me do this for you, Tempest,” Ricky said. “It’s the least I could do, considering I couldn’t help you earlier when you were bullied.”
“Thank you Ricky,” I said. “I wished I had a friend like you at Kingsbury when I first got here. It would have been easier. I fe
el like I’m always having to fight, always having to prove myself to everyone. And when I do, it’s still not enough.”
Ricky sat down on the edge of my bed with me. “It won’t ever be enough for these Royals. In their minds, commoners would never measure up. I would’ve gotten a job at Kingsbury earlier, if I had known how much trouble you’ve had. If the townspeople in Arcadia below knew how bad some of these royals were and how awful they thought of us common folks, people would rebel. There would be rioting. We’d want new rulers.”
“So, how are things in this kingdom? I met Prince Jordan and Kaz. Who would you choose as your next King between the two?”
Ricky laughed. “Good question. Smart of you asking because I see you’re trying to decide who to believe…Kaz whom you’ve known for a while now or Jordan, whom you’ve been working with before Kingsbury, but you’ve really just met. I personally haven’t had much contact or interaction with either princes, and the few encounters I’ve had with them have always been where they saw me as a potential rival for you. Not much to go on in terms of who to pick for our next King.”
“Well, what do people think of them?” I asked.
“They see Kaz as the one who runs Kingsbury almost with an iron fist, despite his age. They see him as no-nonsense, void of a sense of humor, serious because of his duties, but a real natural leader. People follow him, and girls are attracted to him,” Ricky said.
“I know that,” I said. “If Veronica wasn’t so attracted to him, I wouldn’t be the target of her bullying. It’s unfortunate that girls like her only use their power and influence for selfish deeds.”
“As far as Jordan…he hasn’t been high-profile amongst the people as he has been in business. I think he kept his royal identity undercover more because he didn’t use it to build his own empire. To me, it’s humbling. And he seemed to get what the commoner wants…look at him creating the UFN and how it has become so successful.”
“Ricky,” I said, “You’re right.” I touched his nose, playfully and said, “I didn’t know you were so smart. What are you going to study at the University?”
“That’s because you’ve been hanging out with the royals way too much. You really should come down the mountain and go into town more often, meet some of my friends from school. They’re our age, and make friends with non-royals.”
“Sounds like fun,” I said. “I haven’t really been to a regular party in a while.”
Ricky said, “It will give you perspective, Tempest.”
“Are you staying up here on campus?” I asked.
“I wished,” Ricky said. “I’d want to stay here with you, to protect you. I saw what happened at the Bash. If Veronica is back at Kingsbury, she will be back to harm you.”
“She’s got what she wanted. Kaz. They’re engaged. Should be end of story for her.”
“Let’s hope that’s enough to satisfy her,” Ricky said. “And Tempest, I have access to the kitchen anytime. If you ever need to get food, drinks, whatever sustenance you need, here.” He handed me a key. “I made a copy for you.”
“Oh Ricky,” I said. “You’re so sweet and thoughtful.” I reached over and hugged him.
He hugged me back, but instead of releasing me immediately, he bent down and gently kissed me on the lips. Then he released me. “Since Jordan threw in his hat for you, I’m throwing in mine. I’ve been attracted to you since I met you that first day you arrived. The more I got to know you, the more I liked, and the more I cared about you.”
“I was hoping for one guy here who didn’t want to ravage my body or look at me like I’m a walking vagina,” I joked.
Ricky laughed. “Guilty. I’m as hot-blooded as any man when it comes to wanting and falling for a beautiful sexy woman. In your case, you’re not just beautiful, but you’re brilliant, kind, sweet, and funny.” He traced his fingers around my arm. “I can’t believe these beautiful limbs of yours are so lethal, too. Tempest Storm.”
“Ricky,” I said.
“What, Tempest,” Ricky asked.
“I really do appreciate your friendship. I’m happy I could talk to you about everything. You’re easy to talk to, like my little sister Lily.”
“Ouch,” Ricky said. ‘You’re comparing me to a little girl?”
“No, just saying, I really enjoy your company. I also liked how easygoing you are. No drama. No fuss. Just normal.”
Ricky smiled. “If you’re looking for normal, I’m your guy.”
He got up.
“Where are you going?” I asked.
“Back to the kitchen where my mother is probably wondering where I am.”
“Oh yes, your mother is here. That must be so nice.”
Ricky hugged me then. “You’re welcome to come with us down the mountain so you don’t have to be alone here. I know you’re not on good terms with the K3s so…”
“You know what, Ricky. Yes. I will. It’s about time I met your nice family and get to know this town much better.”
Ricky smiled. “You will love it. It’s so different than Kingsbury, you’ll get a chance to see how wonderful some parts of this kingdom can be.”
Ricky hoisted my bags up onto his back and walked to the door. “Tempest,” he said.
The door to my dorm was opened, and Ricky walked outside. Before he could turn around, I came out with him, locked the door, and faced him.
I grabbed his shirt and pulled him to me. “Thank you for everything, Ricky. I’ll give you a fair chance.” I kissed him on the lips.
He dropped my bags, reached his arms around me and pulled me to him, kissing me back passionately. “Oh Tempest,” he whispered hoarsely. “I’ve only been dreaming of this moment for months now.”
We kissed and kissed before we broke apart.
“Wow,” Ricky said, running his hand through his hair. “Just Wow.”
I took his hand and entwined my hands in his. We walked hand-in-hand down the hallways and to the kitchen.
Along the way from my dorm to the kitchen, I saw the silhouette of a few boys I knew. Kaz, Ori, and Hunter. Watching us.
Well, if I had to watch Kaz and Hunter get sucked by someone other than me, then I’m giving them a taste of their own medicine.
First with Jordan, with whom I was beginning to feel would be the more suitable brother.
And then with the surfer commoner, who the guys at the K3 looked down on as inferior.
They were my new friends and possible lovers. Two men who would drive the K3 bat-shit crazy with jealousy.
Chapter 6
Hunter
With Tempest back at Kingsbury, I could not think of anyone else. I could not keep away from her.
I wanted to see her, to talk to her, and tell her what kind of a day I had or about the music we both enjoyed listening to. I wanted to take her with me to see an art exhibit nearby.
I wanted to make love to her so badly.
I wanted her.
And I wanted to see the love in her eyes for me.
When she walked past me from the runway without so much as a glance or a greeting, it about killed me.
“Ori, Kaz,” I said. “I’m not a stalker, but I want to see Tempest. See what she’s up to.”
“Hunter,” Kaz said. “That’s pathetic.”
“Just because you’re engaged to Veronica now doesn’t mean the rest of us have to stop seeing Tempest. If she forgives me, I’m going back to her. She’s still my woman.”
Ori stood up and walked over to me. “You don’t have to explain. I can’t stop thinking about her, too.”
We walked out of Kaz’s house and headed towards her dorm room. Without Tempest at Kaz’s, it no longer felt the same. It felt empty. Lifeless.
We were halfway to Tempest’s room when Kaz joined us.
“What are you doing here?” Ori asked, almost angry. “You shouldn’t even try to get Tempest back. You made your choice, and you chose to push her away. Hunter and I never tried. We want her back with us.”
Kaz look
ed hurt. “I missed her, too.”
We walked in silence to an area where we could see Tempest. She didn’t close her curtains so we could see into her room. She was talking to Ricky.
And Ricky was on her bed right next to her.
“Damn, that lowlife bastard is already making moves on her now that she’s available,” Ori said.
We watched Ricky make a small gesture towards her before he kissed her.
“That Fuck-Faced Bastard,” Kaz said.
Ricky’s hands moved to touch Tempest on her arms, tracing it sensuously.
Ori stood up and started walking towards Tempest’s room.
We followed. Then we saw her dorm room door open. Ricky and Tempest were outside. Tempest turned to Ricky, and they kissed so passionately, they looked like they were ready to move onto sex.
Kaz said, “We have to stop them. She can’t have sex with that piece of shit commoner. Not after she’s had us.”
When we were together with Tempest, and we met Ricky for the first time, Kaz was particularly jealous over Ricky being friends with Tempest. He was upset by the way Tempest laughed and share jokes with Ricky. Tempest never did that with Kaz.
“I’m going to put my fist through the back of his skull,” Kaz murmured. “If he so much as taste her, I…”
“Kaz,” Ori said. “Calm down.”
“Jordan…he seduced Tempest,” he said. “Tempest loved me, not him.”
“It’s burning me up, just thinking of what Tempest is doing with that boy,” I had to admit.
“Come on, guys,” Ori said. “This is ridiculous. We are ridiculous. Let’s go into town and get something to drown our misery.”
“Good idea,” I said.
Chapter 7
Tempest
I had a great dinner with Ricky’s family when we all walked into town from Kingsbury. His mother Rose was an excellent chef since she was the Head Chef at Kingsbury. Like Ricky, she was blonde, tanned, with blue eyes and an open affectionate smile. Ricky’s father, John Honeywell by contrast was greying, large, and rough-looking. He owned the boat taxi service Ricky worked part-time at during tourism season. Years spent working outside in the sun had weathered his skin prematurely. Despite having a modest home, which reminded me of a well-kept American home, they seemed like a happy family.
