Since Taryn still hadn’t answered, Sylvain repeated himself. “Why would you give up a perfectly good life at your family’s vineyard to come here to Vegas? Alone, nonetheless. What happened?”
Figuring she had nothing left to lose by going for broke, Taryn blurted out the raw and brutally honest answer. “He never gave me earth shattering orgasms. He and I, well…it just wasn’t passionate enough, not spontaneous…I knew I needed more…I needed a man who could fulfill my sexual needs.”
Sylvain stared down at Taryn, clearly showing amusement in his eyes by the bold confession. He wasn’t laughing at her though, but actually appeared to be relieved—maybe even happy. The answer must have been satisfying enough to him because he leaned in and gave Taryn a kiss that made her feel hot all over again.
His tongue darted in between her full lips and there was intense urgency and desire in his every movement, not wanting to waste a single one. Taryn moaned, feeling aroused by her body pressed against his and his hand on the small of her back. She could taste the wine on his breath and she wanted to taste more. Without a doubt, Taryn wanted to taste every inch of Sylvain Richard’s body and explore it as intimately as possible. There was nothing she wouldn’t do to have him and now that she knew he wanted her too, an even more aggressive game was on, ready to be played by each to their fullest.
Sylvain’s hands wrapped around Taryn’s waist and he lifted her up. He was holding her close to him and her legs were wrapped around his waist, entangling them together. “Such a beautiful and intoxicating woman like you never experiencing an earth shattering orgasm is unacceptable. I think that I shall change that,” Sylvain murmured as he kissed Taryn’s neck softly, making her involuntarily tremble. He showed that his lips and hands could clearly play her body as if he was a pianist and she was the keys that he knew how to move so masterfully.
The next thing Taryn knew, Sylvain had slid down her skirt and was peeling off her white lace thong panties. Taryn’s fingers were fumbling at his zipper, trying to slide his pants off as quickly as she could and embrace the moment she was longing for.
Nobody was more surprised than both Taryn and Sylvain when there was a coughing noise coming from behind them. They both whipped their head around and found Jacob standing there, blushing slightly, but not taking his eyes off the scene.
Taryn jumped, quickly placing her hands over her front side and crouching down to cover as much as her as possible. Sylvain quickly grabbed her skirt and panties and tossed them to her and stormed over to Jacob.
“What do you want?” he snapped. He sounded as irritated as anybody might be when they were immediately snapped out of the moment of something they wanted so badly.
“Well, you said to have the limo ready for Taryn at 3:00. It’s 3:15 now so I was just coming to find out where you were at. What were you up to?” Jacob asked.
“None of your business, Bro. We just got a bit carried away from too much wine, that’s all.”
“I see,” Jacob said. “So…do I take her back or…”
Sylvain cut Jacob off. “Yes, take her back before I do something stupid.”
Taryn had never gotten dressed so quickly in her life and was watching in utter horror as Sylvain and Jacob talked about her. She couldn’t even say a word. It was as if she was frozen, but this time it wasn’t from the coolness of the wine cellar. It was from the overwhelming sensations that came with everything she’d just experienced. She didn’t know what to think and certainly had no frame of reference for it.
“Are you ready to get back to the hotel?” Jacob asked Taryn.
“She’s staying in a hotel right now? A lonely hotel room all alone,” Sylvain commented. He looked appalled by the idea, as if he’d somehow failed that she was at a hotel room.
“Unless you want her to stay here while her living arrangements are made,” Jacob commented. “I can only assume that she got the job.”
Sylvain stared back at Taryn, looking almost as dazed as she felt at that moment. “No one has a better idea of wines and what wines work with which foods, or what I like better than she does.”
“So, she is hired?” Jacob repeated.
“Yes,” Sylvain said.
Taryn smiled, still not talking. She was definitely excited to have that job, but definitely freaked out by how aggressive she’d just acted with her new employer. She had no point of reference for how to approach a professional relationship that started out with a nearly earth shattering explosive beginning. Nearly earth shattering…too bad Jacob walked in. Taryn knew she’d figure it out, but it was likely to be very challenging if she wanted to jump on Sylvain every time she saw him. Perhaps she wouldn’t see him that much after all, she second guessed. After all, very few of his employees did.
Chapter 5
Sylvain
Sylvain remained in the wine cellar as Jacob escorted Taryn out to take her back to the hotel room. He couldn’t take his eyes off her or her amazing ass as she walked out, catching her turn around to get one last glimpse of him before she was out of sight.
Damn, she is a siren, Sylvain thought. The worst type too. She doesn’t even realize just how appealing and sexy she is.
Sylvain pulled out his phone, getting ready to call his HR head to make living arrangements for Taryn when his phone rang. He looked down at his caller ID and saw that is was the General Manager for all his properties.
“Hi Dan. What do you need?” Sylvain asked. He was never one to beat around the bush or spend valuable time having small talk with his employees before getting to the point.
Dan went on to tell Sylvain that he’d arranged a tour of the properties like he’d asked and that they’d be set to go first thing tomorrow. Sylvain’s eyes lit up and before he ended the call he said, “Make sure there’s one more person added on to the tour. I am going to take my new Head Wine Buyer with me.” With that, Sylvain hung up and immediately called Jacob.
“Jacob, bring her back up. There’s been a change of plans.”
While Sylvain waited for Jacob to come back up he made his way up to his office. He couldn’t get Taryn off of his mind and she’d created quite a dilemma for him in relatively short time. Despite being his employee and him never having an urge to cross the boss/employee line with any of them, Taryn made him want to not only cross the line, but deliver her that raging orgasm that she’d never had. The thought of seeing how he could bring such intense pleasure to her face and surging through her body was appealing to him. He’d never been with a woman who wasn’t very sexually experienced before, including when he’d lost his virginity back at prep school.
Yet, Taryn Summers was also the experienced type of wine person that he needed to take his already high end clubs to the next level. He would never accept a less than stellar review when it came to any aspect of his business. One of Sylvain’s weak links in his opinion was his inability to nail the wines that really made the meals memorable and the clients coming back. Taryn could change all of that. He’d never met anybody who had her knowledge, passion, and expertise when it came to wines. While Sylvain knew quite a bit, he was appreciative of the fact that Taryn seemingly knew more.
There was a knock on his office door and Sylvain called out to come in.
“She’s sitting in the living room,” Jacob commented. “Did you change your mind?”
“None of your business, Brother. Why don’t you send her in,” Sylvain said, not allowing himself to get ruffled by Jacob’s curiosity. Jacob had, in the past, always seemed interested in the same girls whom Sylvain dated or slept with, thinking they were free for him to take, as everything else Sylvain owned. Not this one. A possessive streak overcame Sylvain when he thought about Taryn’s lips on his body just moments before. He almost became hard remembering the taste of her on his lips. No, this one will be mine.
A few seconds later Taryn was walking into the office to look at Sylvain. He could see how her cheeks were still flushed from being tipsy from the afternoon’s wine excursion in the cellar and
she still carried the look of a woman set to unleash her passions upon her face. it He liked that about her…how clearly sexual she was, how she was uninhibited when it came to what she wanted from a man. Oh how he longed to be the one who can bring her to the brink of unbridled orgasms. There was no denying it and the problem for Sylvain existed in the fact that he was not a man to deny himself pleasures once he chose to have them. There had never been a reason to and between his attractive looks and money he was never turned down either. Yet, he had hesitation for some reason and couldn’t deny that either.
“Is something wrong?” Taryn asked.
“No, not at all. We’re going to be leaving in the morning for a tour of all the properties. I have to go tell the chef to make a meal for two and when I get back I’ll share the details with you.”
“Shouldn’t I go back and change before dinner, organize a few things?” Taryn asked.
“That won’t be necessary. I’ll take care of the details. I’ll be back in a minute,” Sylvain said.
With that, Sylvain left and made his way down the hall to the kitchen. When he was talking with his chef he told him to create something extra special for dinner, as a kick off for his new employees hire.
Sylvain couldn’t help but notice the sly smile on his chef’s face. He let it pass, but one thing he knew for certain was that his employees were always fascinated by his every move when it was different from the usual, no doubt having endless hours of speculative talk behind his back. It never bothered him much since they were all under strict confidentiality clauses. There was no three strike limit for the people that needed to be in Sylvain’s personal space. They made a mistake and they were out. It was that simple and that’s the way he liked it.
As Sylvain walked back into his office he saw Taryn walking around it and looking at the various pieces of artwork he had hanging on the walls. They were very unique and interesting to Taryn. Although she didn’t know much about art compared to wine she could tell they were high quality originals.
“Do you like those?”
“Indeed. They’re beautiful,” Taryn replied.
“I have a friend whose wife sells them from her gallery in New York City.”
“I have a feeling you are very well connected to someone in just about every field,” Taryn said.
“That does come in handy, but enough about my connections. Right now we need to discuss what’ll be happening the next days and my expectations from you.”
Sylvain hesitated before sitting down. He wanted to sit next to Taryn, but thought better of it. She would be too distracting if she was that close to him and he had to make sure he chose his words carefully as he spoke with her. She didn’t appear to be overly sensitive, but sometimes you never knew with women; especially with what he had to say.
“As you know, in addition to being the Head Wine Buyer for Richard Enterprises you are also going to be my personal wine buyer, which means that you will have to accompany me everywhere I go, especially in the beginning until we are running at a level which I feel is efficient and meets my expectations.”
“Yes,” Taryn replied.
Sylvain kept staring at her when he spoke and as he talked about professional business the back of his mind was focused on the beautiful green eyes that stared back at him. It was hard to read them at that moment and he found that unsettling.
“Taryn, it’s important that the staff respect you and understand that you are the one who will help them compliment the cuisine and culture of the establishment with a suitable wine pairing. Part of that involves personal presentation.”
Again, Taryn said yes and kept staring at Sylvain. He wondered how passionate those green eyes got when they were enjoying a feast of the flesh.
“I know you are used to working in a vineyard, selecting grapes, and possibly dressing up for the occasional contest or awards ceremony, but my establishments all have certain dress codes. It’s important for you to be able to mingle with the guests as well as the staff; I guess that’s what I’m saying.”
“Guess or know?” Taryn asked. Sylvain stared at her and was thankful to see a mischievous smile as she spoke.
“Know. Thank you for not being overly sensitive about it,” Sylvain commented.
“Considering you were telling me I likely didn’t dress to the nines like what your establishments require,” Taryn said.
Sylvain was enjoying the casual banter with her, feeling strangely aroused from it. She was not intimidated by him despite her appearing that she may be at first. She didn’t run in the same circles as him, but her confidence in her abilities to manage herself just fine was inspiring. People who could blend into any social setting effortlessly were a huge asset to Sylvain’s type of business and making all his clients feel special and one of a kind.
“I have a feeling that you’ll be more than fine handling yourself with anyone,” Sylvain commented.
“So, does your private club for BBBBCers fall on the schedule for places we’re visiting?” Taryn asked.
Sylvain was caught off guard by her question, not realizing that she’d know anything about the BBBBC. He felt slightly flushed by the question, which was odd. “You’ve heard of the BBBBC? It’s a club that someone else started and I took over, meant for other men who are in similar situations to me, wealthy and in need of discretion.”
“You don’t have to justify to me,” Taryn said. Sylvain knew she meant it and could sense that it really didn’t matter to her one way or the other.
“It’s just that it’s nice to have a place that you can go where scrutiny is off of you and you can let loose a bit without any repercussions. Many of my friends need that and find it most helpful in maintaining a certain amount of balance in their lives.”
“That makes sense. I know that being a billionaire must not be the only criteria though because my ex-fiancé applied to get in and he was turned down,” Taryn said.
“Darren applied to the BBT?” Sylvain couldn’t recall that, but that meant that he’d not even made it past the initial interview phase of the process.
“Yes, he mentioned it a few times, but after he didn’t get in that was the end of it.”
“How could he be in it if he was engaged to you?”
“That was just before we got engaged, I think,” Taryn responded.
Sylvain felt his muscles tense up. Something about her mentioning her ex made him annoyed. How could he have let such an amazing woman go? There must be something about him that was off.
“There definitely are certain criteria that the BBBBC has, in addition to the income minimums. Maybe it was something in there. Well, no matter,” Sylvain said. Like being an alpha male. That is definitely a requirement. There was no room in the BBBBC for a guy who couldn’t stand up to or hold their own with the other members with strong personalities. Maybe he’s the type of guy that’s too nice. Perhaps that’s why he couldn’t give Taryn what she needed to be fulfilled in the bedroom.
“Well, that really doesn’t matter anymore,” Taryn said. “However, getting all of my belongings from my hotel room does matter.”
“I’ve already had that taken care of. I took the liberty to having them moved to a guest room here for the night since we’ll be leaving tomorrow. My HR will work on your corporate housing while we are gone.”
“Oh, okay,” Taryn said. Sylvain stared into her eyes and clearly saw the discomfort in them. He hoped that she didn’t think or assume that they’d pick up where they’d left off in the wine cellar earlier. It would be nice to explore every inch of that curvaceous sensual body and check out if there are any tan lines underneath that appealing silk blouse.
“Why don’t we go out to the terrace and continue talking about what’ll be happening the next weeks. The fresh air will feel great,” Sylvain said.
“Excellent,” Taryn said.
The conversation was minimal at first when they were out on the terrace. As Taryn stared out at the beautiful setting that took in the skyline of Vegas, alo
ng with the beautiful mountain ranges that enhanced it, Sylvain stared at her. So many questions were going through his mind and he couldn’t get the Darren factor out of his mind. He wished he’d remembered more about him when he’d met him, but that hadn’t been the case. Perhaps he could have Jacob find his old BBBBC application and investigate a bit more why he was not BBBBC material. If anything, he had a nagging urge to find out why Taryn left him, what kind of a man would Taryn reject? What kind of things were she into, what kind of man would she want. Employee or not, she was like a virus running through his blood and he couldn’t shake it. Sylvain knew he didn’t want to shake it either. He’d had a small sip of her earlier and now he wanted more.
